| CAPER
-- A SUCCESS STORY!
|
I just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and
update you on Caper. He finished Lynn's class
last week and you were right, he had a blast. He
really LOVED Lynn, and she really liked him as
well. I have been taking him on outings and
he is much more confident in new situations. It
wouldn't hurt him to repeat level 1 when he is
adopted, because he is a total spaz! He is
a very happy boy, but he can only handle so much
stimulation and then his brain shuts down and he
wants to go in his crate and pass out.
Anyway, our boy that was scared to death of the
house, now prefers being inside. You can
see he was quite comfortable and happy on sofa
donning his Christmas finery! (My son,
who has some special needs and many dogs wouldn't
hesitate to bite, had no problem repeatedly taking
the bully stick away from him and getting him on
and off the sofa.)
Anyway, I want to thank you again for getting
Caper off to such a good start! I think this
boy with such a shaky start in life now associates
people with all the good things in life, and the
food games you introduced him to made all the difference.
February 1 ~ Day he arrived at Kennel under
40 pounds.

Caper Now!
Dee, these photos are from his first session
involving toys once he arrived in
his foster home. He was terrified
of toys prior to this, especially things
like balls, which involved someone raising
their arm...
I hope you can use some of these. They
make me happy to see how far he has come. Of
course, he still has his moments. Yesterday,
he was afraid of his Christmas stocking,
which during the photo session he had between
his paws on the sofa, pulling out his goodies
and toys. It moved with no person
attached and things like that always get
him a little spooked, but as soon as I
picked it up and started playing with him,
he was fine.
